The Annenberg Foundation Trust at Sunnylands and More Perfect welcomed a group of leaders from across sectors to not only ensure the realization of ​​five democracy goals, but also to inspire and mobilize key institutions and citizens, across differences, to work together to build a “more perfect” union.

The goal of this convening is to engage a select group of leaders from across sectors to not only ensure the realization of ​​five democracy goals, but also to inspire and mobilize key institutions and citizens, across differences, to work together to build a “more perfect” union. Such a campaign would help move our culture by: countering the impression that we are more divided than united; driving new resources and willpower toward More Perfect’s partners; unleashing public enthusiasm for the goals, even while inviting healthy disagreement on means; and awakening within millions of Americans a “civic spark” that gets them more engaged and makes them realize a healthy democracy is vital to improving the everyday lives of Americans.
