In 2026, as the country marks the 250th anniversary of its founding, More Perfect is bringing together many of the nation's Presidential Centers for the first collaboration of its kind: a cascading series of over 40 U.S. citizenship naturalization ceremonies across 21 presidential centers in this anniversary year. The series begins at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum on February 11 and concludes at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum in late November.
At each ceremony, new Americans, with family and community looking on, will take the oath of citizenship in spaces dedicated to the leaders who shaped the nation they are joining. These inspiring moments focus our attention on what we share: a heritage built by generations of people who chose this country and a future that belongs to all of us.
The series celebrates a simple and powerful truth: that America has always been strengthened by those who come from around the world to contribute to its story.
