At the 94th Annual Meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors in Long Beach, California, 116 mayors joined the America the Entrepreneurial campaign as Founding Mayors, committing themselves to strengthening the startup spirit in their cities and towns through reforms that may include streamlining regulations, lowering startup costs, and expanding access to financing. At the state level, a Governors Compact on Entrepreneurship developed with the National Governors Association advances similar commitments, led by NGA Chair Governor Kevin Stitt of Oklahoma and Vice Chair Governor Wes Moore of Maryland on a bipartisan basis. Both are part of More Perfect's first civic moonshot of 2026, in partnership with Right to Start.
